Aims and Scope

The First International Conference "Risk Assessment and Building Structures Repair" to be held in Voronezh (the Russian Federation) in November 5 to 10, 2006 is organized by Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Specialized Center of Buildings Safety Examination with the support of the Ministry of Emergency Measures (the Russian Federation), the Federal Agency of Technical, Ecological and Nuclear Supervision.

The aim of the Conference is to promote international cooperation in the field of safety and operational reliability for buildings and constructions for different purposes.

The conference will benefit scientific and professional exchange and establish and develop new contacts between Russian and foreign colleagues.

Invited lectures from recognized scientists from Russia, Japan, the USA, Germany, Switzerland, the Ukraine and other countries are foreseen. A special issue of the international scientific journal "SIT A" devoted to the subject of the conference will be published by the beginning of the conference.

Results of research concerning the fundamentals of risk assessment analysis in Civil Engineering (including experimental, theoretical and numerical methods), and the applications of its up-to-date achieve­ments in the analysis of phenomena in advances materials, structures and mecha­nisms are invited for presentation.
